Whalley Abbey is nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley and is a completely unique and magnificent location for a wedding at any time of year.

As you pass through the magnificent Gate House and sweep into the cobbled court yard, it becomes apparent how Whalley Abbey can make your special day even more idyllic. Your wedding party has exclusive use of the House which dates back to the 14th century. The House is made from honey coloured stone, filled with oak panelled rooms and stained glass windows. The House is set in extensive beautiful gardens, amidst the remains of a medieval Cistercian monastery, all of which provides a gorgeous back drop for your photographs.

You and your guests will be greeted upon arrival with delicious canapes and welcome drinks before entering one of our spectacular dining rooms to the applause of your guests. You will then be seated at the top table to await the delights of your wedding feast, which consists of a three course wedding breakfast with a variety of choices, catering for all dietary requirements.

In addition we can offer four-star bed and breakfast with en-suite bathrooms, accommodating 28 guests in twin, double and single rooms, with a family room also available. The Williams Suite on the ground floor is adapted for disabled use and has a lounge which can be used as a carer's bedroom if required.

The venue can accommodate up to 98 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 170 guests for an evening reception.
